A park, through the years

Sean Brady’s photographs follow Gramercy Park through sixteen years of changing light, seasons, and neighborhood life. The collection moves between the garden’s smallest details and wide views of the surrounding city.

Behind the park’s wrought-iron fence are familiar paths, carefully tended flowerbeds, mature trees, and places to sit. Returning to them over the years reveals a different park in every season: magnolias in bloom, a path after rain, snow on the benches, and windows lighting up beyond the canopy.

Sean’s photography has appeared in Gramercy Park Block Association calendars, its fundraising brochure, and neighborhood communications. His photographs have also been credited in 6sqft, courtesy of the Block Association.
